DR. SCHISLER
Born and raised in Bay City, Dr. Tessa Schisler’s heart resides in her community. She attended Alma College for her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She went to medical school at Michigan State University's College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her internship at MidMichigan Hospital and her family medicine residency at Bay Regional Medical Center before going into private practice in 2006. After working under a traditional insurance model for seventeen years, she decided to take a new approach to healthcare in 2023. She adopted a Direct Primary Care model to offer her patients affordable monthly memberships and direct doctor access — all to provide the best care for her community. In addition to family medicine, Dr. Schisler has a special interest in health, fitness, nutrition, and preventative medicine. She has also completed several courses in Functional Medicine through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
